ITS JUST SOMETHING ABOUT KATE..

I used to never really see what the appeal was about Kate Moss. She is no doubt pretty, but not stunning like Gisselle or Daria. Just recently though Im really beginning to love her as a model. She has a quirky englishness about her that makes her that much more real and loveable.

She looks beautiful and youthful. The cheeky look she's taking in the mirror gives her character which doesn't just say "Don't I look good- buy these clothes."

Even though Kate was discovered at age 14 even before I was born we all know she's no where near the end of her brilliant career!

Oh and I've just seen she was born the same place as me !! :)))

After seeing only 1/2 of this documentary previously I decided to watch the whole thing today...
I'm definitely a lover of documentaries- looking into the lives of others is so intriguing! and it's something you probably wouldn't be able to do yourself.

His amazingly huge house seems to have a sense of organised chaos about. There are multiples of everything- something I can completely relate to having had a life long love of collecting.... well...pretty much everything! The thing that stuck out to me in this film was all his ipods lined up at the beginning - You can surely understand multiple books, magazines and rings, but ipods was more unusual- were they all filled with different music?? organised into moods perhaps?



There seems to be great depths to the man, and he is definitely a thinker- after all, all the best people are.

His photography is something I really want to look at further...

THE september issue

"FASHION ISN'T ABOUT LOOKING BACK- IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT LOOKING FORWARD."__ANNA WINTOUR.



Having everyone telling me I should watch this i finally asked for it for my birthday and watched it today. It was actually really insightful!

Anna Wintour intrigues me alot- I want to know what she's thinking, and if she's happy, because she doesn't seem overly from the documentary!

What did interest me is the relationship between the designers and the magazine, in that the magazine seems to dictate the designers, and the designers, although the creators of the pieces do not have much of a say as to what will be shown and how in the magazine.

Her and Grace Coddington seem to make a perfect team for working at the top of the magazine staff.Grace seems more earthy than Anna, but lacks the hard edge that Anna seems to possess. There was a certain glass full quality about Grace that made her seem more approchable. Her awe at the locations, and drive to make her work stand out was inspirational, but sometimes i dont think its a good thing to try and compliment everything.

H & M

So right now i am LOVING the H&M photoshoots theyve been popping out- garden collection, and now the beachwear!! The red dress in the garden collection is definetly a favourite piece for me:



So the other day i went to H&M and was given this carrier bag with one of the shoot images on it:



The models they chose to use are perfect, and personally i dont get how people always make such a huge fuss about all models being too skinny, when clearly these girls are healthy and beautiful!!( of course fashion isnt going to look right on a huge woman- thats not how the mainstream is designed!) PLUS if youre a size 16 you are in no way healthy, just have big 'ol appetite.

Videos definetly have a certain way of showing a persons personality more fully than through a photograph- it's their movement, the way they talk, and every single facial expression is captured.

The 1st one.

I just finished researching blogs and was inspired to start my own!! I love the idea of a visual diary you can edit online. The main chunk of it will be able fashion, but i will also include other inspirational things and people i come across. Wish me luck :)) x x
